Imagine mixing the musical and vocal stylings from Harvest with the pure emotion that is found on a Boy Sets Fire record, and the tight and devastating clean guitar riffing of Meshuggah, and you will only begin to appreciate what Poison The Well is.

Bombstrike as always, they´re about metallic and harsh D-Beat. Kicking out four of their own songs and a cover version of Mob 47s "Jag Hatar Ert System". Great stuff and I hope to catch them live sometime! Flipping the LP over it's time for Reign Of Bombs, who sound a little bit different compared to Bombstrike. Less upbeat, they have a touch of Motörhead. In addition they supply all the lyrics to their songs (which deal with topics like being homeless, war, love, death squads and religion) and add some words to explain the lyrics of each song. Nice split LP, which proves again, that Sweden still has to offer the best band of that genre!

It has that late 90's fast springy new school hardcore sound, with a few metal riffs thrown in. The groove part is what I like the best, kinda got a cyclic thing going, certainly get ya movin!

If anything, this record reminds me of the first 1st DS-13 7" - raw, fast, loud and damn solid.
