I've
got some stuff from Sell Our Souls records and from
all that stuff this is probably the coolest shizzle.
It's a split 7" on transparent yellow vinyl and
features two great old school bands from the south of
Europe. POINTING FINGER hail from Portugal and play
youthcrew styled hardcore not unlike IN MY EYES. This
is very energetic hardcore that'll make you sweat just
from listening to it. The choruses are real youthcrew
anthems that'll drive you crazy and have you screaming
your lungs out in no time. And they are deliverd through
some intense and infectious vocals. PF are easily the
most well known band on this split and the one with
the most international allure. Which doesn't mean that
POLLUTION is just there to fill the B-side. They're
a band that easily holds its own. They are not that
different from PF. The style is also youthcrew style
but less energetic and infectious than PF. But on the
other hand they put more variety in their songs. Where
PF tends to be more of a sweat filled adrenalin ride
POLLUTION tries to break it down in different sounding
parts. Also, while PF is very catchy and quite melodic
POLLUTION raise the ante by sounding even more so melodic
and cleaner which gives them an unique edge. Also noteworthy
is that POLLUTION sing in spanish contrary to PF who
revel in accentless english lyrics. Anyway I think this
7" is pretty essential for old-school lovers.
